Stock Rationalisation

Active Asset Management

We advise registered providers of affordable housing on adding value through active asset management and by allocating capital to strategic areas of growth through stock rationalisation.

JLL values one third of housing association assets annually, giving us nationwide expertise on the affordable housing market. We assist clients in assessing the condition of their portfolios, while finding efficient, cost-effective ways for them to manage assets and improve the quality of service.

Our team advises registered providers on their strategy, identifying non-core assets for disposal. Stock rationalisation enables our clients to release capital to target acquisition opportunities and we also facilitate asset swaps through our extensive network. We have advised on more than 4,500 affordable housing property transactions worth approximately £235 million since 2011.

JLL's stock rationalisation team’s areas of expertise include:

• Portfolio valuation and building condition advice
• Local authority and HCA consultation
• Section 172 consent
• Due diligence reporting
• All aspects of transaction advisory services
